Our 300 HR. Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is offered by a team of 4 master teacher-trainers, R.R. Shakti, Livia Cohen-Shapiro, Thomas Radtke, Dayna Seraye, who have dedicated their lives to the study, practice and teaching of yoga. Learning from different teachers allows you to acquire a broader understanding of yoga and gives you different avenues to chose form & craft the yoga path that is authentic to you.

This program provides an ample opportunities to deepen your understanding of prana (life-force energy), healing, and spirituality, woven into the course with anatomy, sequence, pranayama, alignment,, somatic psychology, mythology, meditation, mantra & Mudras, History & Theory, and the cultivation of one’s authentic self-expression, all in a space that offers the multi-faceted teachings of yoga while honoring and respecting all religious backgrounds and beliefs.

We have designed this course specifically for existing yoga teachers who wish to deepen and expand their understanding of yoga and are driven, committed, ready,  and focused on achieving their RYT500.

All applicants must have completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training & received their 200hr certification before the start of this program.

Program Curriculum:

The program examines the various topics essential to being a skilled and impactful yoga teacher including Alignment, Anatomy, Somatic Psychology, Mythology, Meditation, Spirituality, Pranayama, Mantra & Mudras, History & Theory, and the cultivation of one’s authentic self-expression.

PRANA: Subtle Body Practices with DAYNA SERAYE

PSYCHE: Somatic Psychology with LIVIA COHEN-SHAPIRO, M.A.

SOUL: Yoga History, Philosophy, & Myth with R.R. SHAKTI, PhD

Program Structure

 

This training includes 10 weekend intensives over the course of 6 months.

From April through September 2019.

In the weeks between the weekend intensives, you will be given homework and reading assignments,

focused review, worksheets, practice teaching, and personal practice suggestions.

You should plan for 10-12 hours a week of study including self-practice.

Foundations: Anatomy and Āsana Alignments for Standing and Leg Balancing

  • This weekend immersion covers the structural anatomy of feet, ankles, and knees. It explores foundational alignment principles and offers therapeutic approaches to props, manual adjustments, and adaptive practices for a healthy stable foundation.  Students will have ample time for hands-on experience.

Yoga Psychology & Ethics: An applied psychology approach to the yamas and niyamas of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

  • establishes psychologically sound teaching practices for real-world challenges.

June 7-9  Thomas Radtke

Aligned Spine: Anatomy and Asana Alignments for Twisting, Back-bending and Forward Folding Āsana

  • This weekend immersion covers the anatomical considerations of spinal movement in back bends, forward folds, and twisting āsana. It explores foundational alignment principles and offers therapeutic approaches to props, manual adjustments, and adaptive practices for a healthy stable axial skeleton. Students will have ample time for hands-on experience.

Somatic Sequencing: Curating classes that heal.

  • Learn to approach class sequencing using the wisdom of somatic psychology.

July 12-14  Dayna Seraye

Pranayama Immersion:

  • You will be guided to the inner world of the subtle energy body with a comprehensive approach to pranayama practices including vayu, bandha, mudra, and mantra.

July 26-28  R.R. Shakti, PhD

Yoga History & Meditation Immersion: Philosophy of Classical Yoga and Yoga Tantra

  • This weekend immersion spans through yoga’s historical roots—from the Vedas to the Tantrik texts—with emphasis on the aims, theories, and practices of yogic meditation.

August 9-11  Thomas Radtke

Inversions: Anatomy and Āsana Alignments for Arm Balancing and Inversion postures.

  • This long weekend covers the structural anatomy of hands, wrists, neck and shoulders in arm balancing āsana and inversions. It explores foundational alignment principles and offers therapeutic approaches to props, manual adjustments, and adaptive practices for stability and ease. Students will have ample time for hands-on experience.

September 13-15  R.R. Shakti, PhD

Soul Artist:

  • Discover the treasures embedded within the great Indian epics and Purana myths. The wisdom found in these stories will deepen your practice and inspire your teaching. Develop your story-telling skills to become a more empowered teacher and to ignite the hearts and imagination of your students.

Early bird $3,500 – $500 deposit to reserve your spot, $3,000 balance due by 2/1/19

Paid in full $4,000 – $500 deposit to reserve your spot, $3,500 balance due by 4/1/19

Monthly Payment Plan – 5, 4, or 3 monthly payments.  $500 deposit is first payment. Balance is divided by remaining months with last payment on 2/1/19 (Early bird rate) or 4/1/19 (Regular rate).  15% processing fee applied to total.
