International yoga teacher Kali Basman is passionate about using yoga as a tool for self-inquiry, inner strength and mindful healing. Specializing in Yin and Restorative textured practices to honor the lunar and feminine, often neglected side of yoga. Kali marries the Yin teachings with the disciplines of the Chines 5 Elements and The Four Immeasurables of Tibetan Buddhist Philosophy in a practice that seeks to mindfully lengthen and lubricate the connective tissues and approach Equanimity in the subtle and emotional body.
Her practice weaves in the 5 Elements and Meridian Theory as a process to deeply connect to the emotional body. We feel our way into the intuitive realms where we can develop insights as wisdom and practice the methods of stillness, mindfulness, and loving kindness. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue and the bones and joints so practitioners can coax Prana into particular healing and rejuvenative pathways. For Kali, the thrust of a significant yin practice is that of inclusion, learning to open to and accept every sensation that arises and emerges from within us.
Kali offers classes, teacher trainings, and workshops around the globe from Envision Festival in Costa Rica to Healing House in Sacred Valley Peru.
Kali pays reverent homage to her lineage of teachers, Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley and Judith Lasater.
